HISTORY
CODEZOL, C.D. is the grantee- operator of FTZ 163, located at Ponce Puerto Rico. Our main objective is the development of national and international trade, providing our clients with a reduction in their operational costs and effectiveness in the inventory management.
We began operations on November 1996. Our location is a strategic one, since our facilities are very close to the Port of Ponce, site where the Transshipment Port, known as Port of The Americas will operate in the near future; a two minute drive will get you to road PR-52 which connects southern Puerto Rico with the Metropolitan Area of San Juan and very near Mercedita's International Airport. Our facilities include indoor and outdoor warehouse space for the storage of different merchandise.

SERVICES OFFERED AND UNIQUE ADVANTAGES
• Inventory control- operation in a FTZ require careful
accounting of receipt, procesing and shipment of merchandise. CODEZOL,
C.D. provides perpetual inventory system based on FIFO principles
and is included on service for all clients.
• Exhibition - merchandise may be held for exhibition without
customs duty payment.
• Antidumping / Countervailing Duties - use of a FTZ defers
the payment of these duties until merchandise enters the US Customs
territory.
• Cash flow - Customs duties are paid only when imported merchandise
is shipped into the US Customs territory.
• Exports - No customs duties are paid on merchandise exported
from CODEZOL, C.D. to territory outside of the United States.
